Whale Coast FM with Janet Marshal and Gavin Barfield

So, this morning, after tossing and turning the entire night, I gathered all my courage, placed it my handbag and set off to meet my fate at our local radio station. After meeting Gavin Barfield and my mate Janet Marshal, the one responsible for twisting my arm into doing a live interview on radio, (what was I thinking!) headphones were place firmly onto my head and off we went. OK, the first few minutes were totally terrifying and then I managed to pull myself towards myself and all in all I think it went pretty well. We discussed art in the Overberg and the many creative happenings in our region including Art in a Country Garden on the 3rd of April , the Baardskeerdersbos Art Route which is around the corner on the weekend of the 30th of April and 1st of May.
Helen Lewis joined us via telephone and chatted about her books and particularly the Fact Finder, which is to date the most exciting illustration project that I've worked on. Apart from the huge sense of relief that I experienced when the show was over and the fact that I hadn't suffered a corinary or even fainted from hyperventilating, there was also a feeling of satisfaction, knowing that I had taken on something that was totally out of my comfort zone. Thanks Janet for twisting my arm and to Gavin for calming my nerves! Whale Coast 96 FM, thanks for having me on the show guys, it was great!
