PAGE 1 About Me

Nikki Miles was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1970. After studying BA Fine Art in painting at Stellenbosch University she free lanced as a book illustrator for many publishers including Metz Press, Struik New Holland, Maskew, Miller, Longman, Oxford University Press, and Tafelberg.
After moving to Stanford in the Western Cape, she accepted the position of Director of Stanford Galleries where she curated many local exhibitions.
She has taken part in numerous exhibitions in the Western Cape at Off the Wall Contemporary, Stanford Galleries and Lourensford Wine Estate. She exhibits her work at the Cape Gallery, Stanford Galleries, Mission House Gallery and Green. Her work is represented in many private collections both locally and abroad. She is a member of the Baardskeerdersbos Art Route, which takes place 3 times a year. She is also a founder member of Art in a Country Garden, an outdoor art exhibition, in her home town of Stanford, which takes place every second month.
She now works full time as an artist and book illustrator and resides in the village of Stanford, South Africa.
